Airspace restrictions and security measures for Nigerian President Bola Tinubu state visit

Hello Resident,

Airspace restrictions and additional security measures will be in place during the state visit of Nigerian President Bola Tinubu, hosted by His Majesty The King, in Windsor next week.

We are working closely with the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, the Royal Household and other key partners to ensure the safety of everyone attending the event, as well as the wider public.

Airspace restrictions form just one element of our robust security plan for the state visit. Some measures will be visible, while others will not, but all are designed to help keep Windsor safe.

As a force, we have extensive experience policing Royal events in Windsor, and significant planning and preparation have gone into this one.

Our priority is to ensure that dignitaries, spectators and members of the public can enjoy this historic occasion safely.

🚧 Road Closures & Disruption

Several road closures and parking restrictions will be in place from Tuesday 17 March. You may also experience some temporary disruption on roads in and around Windsor during the state visit.
